GY-BMP280 3.3V Precision Altimeter & Atmospheric Pressure Sensor Module

The GY-BMP280-3.3 is a high-precision sensor module designed for measuring atmospheric pressure and temperature, making it suitable for applications such as altimetry and weather monitoring. It integrates Bosch’s BMP280 sensor, which offers enhanced performance over its predecessors like the BMP085, BMP180, and BMP183.

• Pressure Measurement:
  • Range: 300 to 1100 hPa, corresponding to altitudes from -500 to +9000 meters above sea level.
  • Accuracy: ±1 hPa, enabling altitude determination with an accuracy of approximately ±1 meter.
• Temperature Measurement:
  • Range: -40°C to +85°C.
  • Accuracy: ±1.0°C.
• Interfaces:
  • Supports both I²C (up to 3.4 MHz) and SPI (3- and 4-wire, up to 10 MHz) communication protocols, providing flexibility in interfacing with various microcontrollers.
• Power Supply:
  • Operates at 3.3V DC.
  • Current Consumption: Approximately 2.7 µA at a 1 Hz sampling rate, making it suitable for low-power applications.

Pin Configuration:

The module typically features a 6-pin interface:

1. VCC: Power supply input (3.3V).
2. GND: Ground.
3. SCL/SCK: Serial clock line for I²C or SPI communication.
4. SDA/SDI: Serial data line for I²C or SPI communication.
5. CSB: Chip select for SPI; connect to VCC for I²C mode.
6. SDO: Serial data out for SPI; used to set I²C address when in I²C mode.

For I²C communication, connecting the SDO pin to ground sets the I²C address to 0x76, while connecting it to VCC sets the address to 0x77.
